An alumnus of the University of Cincinnati, Elizabeth “Betsy” DeCordova holds a BA in economics. She obtained her MA in community planning with a concentration in physical land use from the same institution under a graduate scholarship. Elizabeth DeCordova began her corporate career in the cellular/telecommunications industry, joining Tetra Tech (Whales & Co) and T-Mobile, Inc.

Her first role was as zoning and permitting specialist and later as a site acquisition specialist. Ms. DeCordova identified optimum property locations for telecommunication equipment placements, among other responsibilities. She then joined the public sector as an assistant zoning officer and was promoted to zoning officer at Whitemarsh Township in Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania.

Rejoining the corporate world, Ms. DeCordova served as a commercial property manager and later a business manager with Adler Engineers, Inc. where she transitioned into the renewable energy field. In 2021, she founded Betsy’s L&Z, LLC and most recently collaborated with Simone Development Companies in New York City. Ms. DeCordova has completed various telecommunications-related projects, dealing with corporate firms such as Verizon and government entities.
